Wagering requirements explained with real examples

What a wagering requirement is
Bookmakers do not hand out free money. A welcome bonus comes with a condition: you must place bets totalling a multiple of the bonus (sometimes bonus plus deposit) before the bonus balance, or winnings from it, can be withdrawn. That multiple is the wagering or rollover requirement.
Two offers compared
Offer A: 500% up to ₹75,000, 35× wagering on bonus. Deposit ₹10,000, receive ₹50,000 bonus. Required turnover: 35 × 50,000 = ₹17,50,000 of bets.
Offer B: 100% up to ₹10,000, 5× wagering on bonus. Deposit ₹10,000, receive ₹10,000 bonus. Required turnover: 5 × 10,000 = ₹50,000 of bets.
Offer A looks five times bigger. In practice, almost nobody turns over ₹17.5 lakh before the time limit expires, and the bookmaker’s margin on that volume (say 5%) would cost around ₹87,500, more than the bonus itself. Offer B is clearable in a normal week of betting and the margin cost on ₹50,000 is about ₹2,500. Offer B is the better bonus.
The other terms that matter
Minimum odds. Bets below a floor (commonly 1.40 to 1.80) do not count. A higher floor means more variance.
Singles or accumulators.1xBet and Melbet count only accumulators of three or more legs. Parimatch counts singles. Singles are far easier to clear.
Time limit. 30 days is standard. 22Bet gives seven, which changes the maths completely.
Maximum bet while clearing. Some sites cap stakes while a bonus is active.
Which balance is used first. If real money is used before bonus money, you can lose your deposit while the bonus sits untouched.
Release mechanics.1win does not use a target at all; it releases bonus in pieces per winning bet at 3.0+ odds. Different rules, same question: how much do I have to bet to see the money?
Our rule of thumb
Multiply the bonus by the wagering requirement and ask whether you would bet that amount anyway in the time allowed. If yes, take it. If no, deposit without the code and keep your money flexible. Every review on BetQuarry works the real terms through an example so you can decide quickly.
