Betting with USDT in India: networks, fees and KYC

By adminUpdated 9 Oct 2026

Why bettors use USDT

Three reasons. Withdrawals are fast: crypto payouts at Stake and BC.Game landed in under ten minutes in our tests, against hours or a day for UPI. There is no bank in the middle to decline a gambling transaction. And some of the best-priced sportsbooks are crypto-first.

Which network

USDT exists on several blockchains and you must send on a network the bookmaker supports, or the funds are lost. TRC-20 (Tron) is the usual choice: fees are around $1 and transfers confirm in a minute or two. BEP-20 (BNB Chain) is similar in cost. ERC-20 (Ethereum) is accepted everywhere but fees can run to several dollars. Always copy the deposit address from the bookmaker’s cashier for the specific network you are using and send a small test amount first.

Getting USDT

Buy on an Indian exchange or a P2P marketplace, withdraw to the bookmaker’s deposit address on the chosen network, and keep a small reserve for network fees. When cashing out, withdraw from the bookmaker to your exchange deposit address on the same network, then sell for rupees. Be aware that Indian exchanges apply TDS on crypto trades and that gains are taxable; keep records.

KYC by site

  • Stake, BC.Game: no verification requested for ordinary volumes in our test; higher volumes or certain regions trigger it.
  • 1xBet, 1win, Melbet, 22Bet: KYC required before the first withdrawal regardless of method.
  • Parimatch, Mostbet: KYC required; USDT withdrawals took about five and two hours respectively.

Things to watch

Bookmakers quote balances in USD or rupees but hold USDT; the displayed rate can include a small spread. Network fees on withdrawal are usually deducted from the amount, though 1xBet absorbed them in our test. And never send to an address from a chat or email; only from the cashier page while logged in.
